While you can certainly use this as an incredibly fast prep tool, it’s designed to be as easy to use in the thick of a session as possible. The Streets Are Alive is a series of tables that allows you to generate a city street in a variety of settings with a single roll. The supplement comes with 11 different districts, each with its own table featuring the following columns:
– Dressing: Simple, evocative descriptions to set the tone.
– Feature: Locations, some simple, some more complex for your players to see and explore.
– Conflict: Instant tension that immediately draws your players in and gives them something to do.
It also includes:
– A handful of larger locations for each district.
– Civic Stress and Urban weather modifiers for even more options.
– A handy NPC generator to quickly create interesting townsfolk to populate your streets.
All content is system agnostic and works with any fantasy setting, pefect for a variety of games like Pathfinder, OSR, 5e, etc.
You also get the files for an Obsidian vault that allows you to instantly roll on the tables, or modify them to your liking. Instructions for setup are included. Note that this is completely optional, and the supplement does not rely on it in any way.
