Sunshot were a great London based band that I ended up seeing quite a few times. The three piece comprised of Maria Brannigan, Toby Bricheno (younger brother of Tim who was in All About Eve and The Sisters of Mercy) and Finnish bassist Taru Tuomisaari-Phillips.

They played a kind of blend of so-called “shoegaze” with alternative rock/indie and attracted a smallish goth following due to the clubs they often hung around in (they also ended up supporting The Sisters of mercy on one occasion too). I was pretty hooked straight away from the combination of music, energy, and the bands charisma.
