GIG 067: The Bridewell Taxis – Camden Palace, 25th September 1990

The Bridewell Taxis were one of the first bands around the so-called ‘Madchester’ scene, although they never made it to to heights like some of the scene bands did.

I was never really into the whole ‘Madchester’ scene (I loathed The Happy Mondays for instance) but Camden Palace put on a wide variety of bands on their club nights so we got a good assortment of sounds. The Bridewell Taxis were actually pretty good live. Shame they weren’t one of the bands from the scene that made it. It would have upped the quality 😉
