The Quireboys had a fantastic stage set for their gig at The Town & Country Club. The whole stage had been transformed into a replica bar area. It was quite elaborate in many ways, although gave the impression of a ‘spit and sawdust’ joint, and suited the bands style perfectly.
The band themselves were very good, but then a lot of their music was pretty upbeat and couldn’t help but get you in the mood. Giant, the main support, were fairly disappointing but Jagged Edge (the first band on that night) were actually pretty good themselves.
Good fun gig.
