Old-School Essentials RPG Rulebook by Small Niche Games
Based on the popular WWII: Operation WhiteBox RPG, the new and improved Operation B/X is a WWII roleplaying game where characters play special forces units (British Commandos, OSS operatives, U.S. Airborne Paratroopers, etc.) sent on missions behind enemy lines.
The OBX: Core Rules is standalone RPG that is fully compatible with the Old-School Essentials roleplaying game. The game mechanics are typical d20-based combat rolls, saving throws, ability checks, and other gameplay rules familiar to “old school” gamers, with a few tweaks to reflect the 20th Century modern military setting.
This game always has and always will use Classes and Levels, so no harm/no foul if that’s not your thing! There are plenty of other WWII RPGs out there that don’t!
