Runequest / Glorantha Supplement by Jonstown Compendium / Chaosium
Near the heart of Glorantha’s greatest city is the Grand Hospital, greatest center of healing in the world. Famed healers live here and provide their services to the folk of Nochet and beyond. Whether suffering from wounds, disease, or even Death, many come here for aid.
Nochet: The Grand Hospital presents the complete temple hospital of 4 floors (including the cellar) with extended descriptions of 18 of its leading Healers (priestesses of Chalana Arroy, goddess of healing and compassion) for RuneQuest. Whether coming for worship, healing, or trade in herbs, or even attempting to gain hidden treasures, the Grand Hospital is an important center in Nochet and its Healers can serve as mentors, teachers, sponsors of expeditions, allies, rivals, or villains in any campaign.
The work includes: an Overview of the Grand Hospital, detailed maps and descriptions of locations for all floors, Magic, Subcults and Associated Cults, the Role of the Hospital in the City, Daily Life, Initiation Rites, and adventure hooks. It also includes the West Ward Stories – 12 extended adventure hooks to facilitate campaigns involving healers. And it details the affiliated Monastery of Arroin’s Shroud, a famed site for healing hidden amidst the Gathering Marsh of the Holy Country where the Cup of Life and Arroin’s Shroud – two famed treasures – might be found with an additional episodic adventure hook.
The Grand Hospital is designed to expand options for your urban Gloranthan adventures as previously described in the companion work, Nochet: Queen of Cities and provide potential adventurers and expeditions around the Holy Country.
Written for RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha, Nochet: The Grand Hospital can be used with 13G, QuestWorlds, or other Gloranthan games.
Nochet: The Grand Hospital comes with a full set of map files for all 4 floors (labeled and unlabeled) plus the map of Arroin’s Monastery to facilitate play and use.
