Now Playing Dungeon Tour is a tabletop roleplaying game that follows a group of young adult internet explorers uncovering secrets from their past, all revolving around a computer application named Dungeon Tour. These investigators, called The Bughunters, will delve into the files and digital world of the game in order to find clues, easter eggs, and glitches. In a fog of neon nostalgia and pixelated blood, the Bughunters will control the characters within the game — learning that their avatars may have secrets of their own. They will be given an option, finish the game and free the land of the dungeon, or push past the boundaries of this realm to see what dark secrets lay behind invisible walls.
They will spend their time split between two worlds. The fantasy world of Dungeon Tour, meeting NPCs, making friends, and forming strong bonds — and the real world that they live within. As their path leads them across web forums and eleven-view youtube videos, the Bughunters’ lives begin to fracture and bleed into the cables and computers of the internet. All while this is happening, the Bughunters are being followed by a strange third party named The Sleepless Man, who has a vested interest in the unknowns of Dungeon Tour being found.
Now Playing Dungeon Tour is Powered by the Apocalypse, meaning its mechanics are inspired by the RPG Apocalypse World by Vincent and Meguey Baker. It’s also Carved from Brindlewood, meaning various mechanics take heavy inspiration from Brindlewood Bay.
