HUSH: An Archive of Vanishing Sounds
Solo RPG by Little Foghorn
The Hush has arrived
An entity known as the Hush has begun robbing the world of sounds, plucking them from the world one by one, erasing them from existence and memory. One day it may be the sound of a slamming door, the next, your lover’s voice.
You play as the archivist, setting out on a mission to preserve as many sounds as you can, giving them written descriptions before you forget them altogether.
This game asks you to question and reflect on the value of sounds as you play, journaling around 30 entries as you rush against time and the impending threat of the final silence.
Which sounds are worth saving, in the end?
About this game
This is a solo journaling RPG that prompts you to write up to 30 entires for various sounds. All you need to play is this book in addition to a few dice (digital or physical) — a d10 (10-sided die), d8, d6, and d4. These will be used to roll on the 64-entry prompt table and keep track of how many sounds have been taken from the world with each entry you write.
HUSH is written by Caroline Creighton
The book itself is 6×9 with 52 pages, including the rules of play, a character sheet, and the journaling pages you’ll be writing in.
