The Space Whale is Hungry is a bi-fold adventure intended for the Mothership RPG (1e), though it could easily be adapted to other sci-fi or nautical systems and settings.
The module details a semi-linear adventure through the anatomy of a Space Whale, and is intended to be completed within a session of three or four hours,
The module contains:
- A detailed diagram and description of a Space Whale’s anatomy such as its enormous three-chamber stomach, it’s mazelike intestines, and its elusive Gem Chamber (unstudied by science!).
- A list of strange creatures commonly found inside Space Whales, including mutant giant krill, spiny tapeworms, and partially digested humans.
- A short list of colorful NPCs and their motivations, like the studious Dr. Roberts, obsessive Cpt Amos, and long-time whale resident Jiminy Ducks.
And:
- A medium list of partially digested and insane humans.
- A long list of ingested objects.
- Fun science facts about Space Whales!
- A fun (and easy) maze!
The module can be run as an escape mission against the clock, as a competitive race to find and secure the Ambergris Gem, or simply as a fun field trip to the inside of a magnificent Space Whale!
