A seamless and lightweight set of tools is used to create and automate NPCs:
Initiation – Used for encountering NPCs and naturally determining their mood, where their attention is focused, and whether or not they approach.
Generation – A quick series of rolls that set the NPC’s initial personality.
Lakes – Tiered tables of behavioral archetypes. These are used to build the NPC’s mind, and may change over time as relationships develop.
Cues & Fragments – These are lists used to help the player see and hear how the NPC communicates.
Impacts – Used to quickly determine the consequence of a life-changing action taken towards the NPC.
Profile – The control hub used for generating the NPC’s actions and reactions, tracking their mood and disposition from one moment to the next, and housing the eight Functions and various Archetypes that make up the NPC’s personality.
