(RPG PDF Spotlight) UHF Contact for Liminal Horror

UHF Contact

Liminal Horror Scenario Anthology by M. Allen Hall

With a click and a hum, the portable television turns itself on. Static rolls across the screen. After a moment, through the static, you see the outline of a person. You recognize him.

He’s running, looking over his shoulder.

He falls, and another figure fills the screen.

Then the screaming starts.

UHF Contact is a collection of scenarios for modern horror tabletop roleplaying games. It contains:

  • Signal, Decay, and Noise: three modern horror scenarios.
  • An Abbreviated Horror RPG: a rules summary for the Liminal Horror tabletop roleplaying game system.
  • Alone in the Dark: procedures and oracles to support playing these adventures as a solo player.

The three scenarios can be played as stand-alone games, but they are presented as a single campaign:

  • Signal: Navigate a labyrinthine junkyard to save your missing friend.
  • Decay: Delve into a condemned prison to once again save your missing friend.
  • Noise: Explore your characters’ memories as you attempt to save yourselves.

Each adventure uses procedures designed to contribute to the progressive building of tension as well as to help facilitate solo or GM-less play with the included Alone in the Dark toolset.

Built for Liminal Horror. While the book comes with, and can be played entirely using, An Abbreviated Horror RPG, it is designed to be compatible with the popular modern horror TTRPG Liminal Horror.

UHF Contact is available through DriveThruRPG in PDF.
