Guide to creating Wars & Conflict
Systemless Sourcebook by Panthalassa Entertainment
DESIGN WARS THAT ARE MORE THAN ARROWS IN A MAP AND KIA STATISTICS.
For GMs, writers, and worldbuilders who want to go design armed conflicts with grit. This manual provides systems and knowledge to build coherent military focused stories and campaigns. In this guide we will talk about the friction of logistics, the spread of disease, and the civilian toll of an ocuppying army. Forget sanitized battles and cinematic tropes. Here, you will learn how war functions as a destructive machine that destroys and consumes everything in its path.

THE REALITY ON THE FRONT LINE
The first chapter will be theory focused. Here you will learn the theoretical foundations of armed conflicts. Some of the things we will talk about will be:
- The reasons and the instigators of conflict: Why do we kill? For what reason? Why do we put our own lives in such a risk? Who makes those decisions? This questions and many more will be answered here.
- Battles and the logistics behind: We want you to develop war stories that go far beyond the trope of soulless arrows moving on a map, of kill counts, of the battles being fought in a void where nothing interrupts or constrain them. Once we get rid of these tropes, your battles will feel brutal, real, and interesting to see.
- The consequences of war: Does your story develop in the aftermath of a war? Do you focus on how does the average civilian lives through the war? Do not worry, we got you! We have a lot of content targeting these issues!
These are some examples, but the guide contains much more, in more detail, so go, take a look, and amaze us with your own creations.

THE DEPLOYMENT
In the second chapter the theory becomes practice through concrete questions and brief examples. If you are having this very common feeling of writer’s block, this chapter will help you get unstuck, making you answer questions that help you brainstorm and develop your ideas.

YOU’RE GOING TO ZAFARNAT
Have you ever dreamed of being locked in a bathroom for three weeks defending your position against the enemy? Are you passionate about the idea of your organs exploding because you had the bad luck of being near a flying creature from another dimension? Do you feel like dying in ways we cannot describe for legal reasons would be cool? If that is the case, let us recommend a psychologist, but before that, we recommend you first read the third chapter, The Battle for Zafarnat, where we explore, through the theory explained in the guide, an extremely warlike setting that also comes with story seeds you are free to use for your adventures.
