By 2026, humanity has spread across a solar system carved up by rival nations and hungrier corporations. You’re an engineer, a miner, a corporate agent, a pioneer with a mission log and a countdown clock. Vacuum suits are bulky. Computers run on magnetic tape. Every switch you flip is real, and every mistake out here is final.
This is hard science fiction with a retro heartbeat: Orion-light drives, rotating habitats, Helium-3 claims fought over on the Lunar regolith, and corporate logos stamped on every canister of air you breathe. The frontier is still open. It’s also still trying to kill you.
Loner: Rocketpunk is a rules-light, tag-based solo RPG. No group, no Game Master, no script. Just you, four d6s, and an Oracle standing in for a universe that doesn’t care whether you make it home. Chart derelicts. Smuggle cargo past ONA patrols. Organize a strike on a station three million kilometers from anyone who’d help you. Write the mission log. Survive the future we almost had.
You are not reading someone else’s story. You are the last transmission out of the dark.
