In northern Italia, far from the mighty city of Rome, sits the town of Vallis. Situated in beautiful countryside, Vallis has enjoyed years of peace and prosperity thanks to its nearby marble quarries. But recently, the town has been rocked by the sudden emergence of a mysterious stone spire at its center. Player characters are dispatched to investigate this bizarre anomaly and arrive to find the town in the grip of chaos. They must uncover a sinister plot threatening the entire Roman Empire, stop an ancient and powerful Ophidian sorcerer performing a dread ritual to awaken an ancient horror, and survive to tell the tale.
Written by Nick Lowe, The Doom That Came to Vallis is Cohors Cthulhu’s first standalone PDF adventure for 3-6 players and one gamemaster. It requires the Cohors Cthulhu: Player’s Guide and Cohors Cthulhu: Gamemaster’s Guide.
