What If The Dead Could Talk
An old fixer and friend was killed and there wasn’t anything you could do about it. At least that’s what you thought until a strange message from the dead pings your commlink. Brynne Taggert was one of those old school fixers who worked to get you a job, told you where you stood, and let you get on with it however you wanted. But then someone kidnapped her and shot her in a warehouse before you could get there. No body but all the evidence.
With the weird message coming in and a decker claiming to be a friend of hers hitting you up with a job, either she’s sending you a signal from beyond the grave or maybe, just maybe, she made it out alive. Only thing is … she didn’t make it easy, spreading a bunch of paydata across the city on dead drop commlinks that only show up online for a brief moments.
Once you gather all your evidence, it’s time to see why it’s pointing you at a boat and with two additional Johnsons, the pay is starting to look better and better.
The problem is … in her absence, you needed work and the Shadow Chapters were hiring. Do you turn over what you find to the new boys in town or do you dig into this for old time’s sake.
