The Wizard Karia of the Triaxus-Grande was known for his eccentricities. The most powerful & richest wizard of his era, Karia built a dungeon where he could discreetly conduct his unorthodox magical practices. When it was completed, he hid his dungeon via a powerful spell that removed its location from the memories of the local population. But that spell couldn’t rewrite the maps made by those who had labored on the dungeon day & night. Eventually, some of those maps were found & made their way into private collections across the country. The seeds of the legend of fabled Dungeon Karia sprouted & took root, growing a little more each year. 

Now, five centuries later, one of the maps has fallen into YOUR hands. It shows the location of Karia’s dungeon, but includes nothing about the layout (just crude scrawled ramblings about magnificent treasures & dangerous traps). What lies within? Some rumors mention a secret cult of magic users dedicated to Karia, others indicate hordes of monsters & constructs left over from Karia’s dabbling with indeterminate magics. Some say Karia is now a lich, prowling the corridors. The only consistent theme is that there are great treasures hidden deep within the dungeon.
