High within the mountains of the Dwellingdom of Taerak lies the village of the same name, once the seat of Lord Osni Urik and still counted among the more notable settlements of the region. Though it now stands somewhat removed from the center of power, following the Lord’s departure to the newly acquired lands in the valleys below, Taerak retains much of the structure and purpose it once held. The palace remains, the gates are manned, and the road still climbs, though the absence of its lord is felt in ways not immediately visible to an outsider.
