Pendragon Scenario by The Companions of Arthur / Chaosium
When a mule train carrying vital iron fails to return, the player-knights are sent to recover it from the Forest of Gloom. There they encounter desperate outlaws, signs of slaughter, and a knight led terribly astray by a fiendish deception.
The scenario includes investigation, negotiation, pursuit, combat, and a dangerous final confrontation in which skill at arms alone will not save them. The knights face mortal danger and spiritual peril as they try to stop further bloodshed, uncover the truth, and decide what justice or mercy requires.
A complete standalone adventure for a single session, The Deluded Knight can be inserted into an ongoing campaign while also planting seeds for further adventures. Set in Salisbury during the Uther Period, it can be easily adapted for any other place or time.
