LTRX04 – Heart of the Mother is the fourth and concluding chapter of the “Rite of Passage” story arc for the sci-fantasy campaign setting NEXUM. Hunted by the supreme predator of the skies and with no escape route upwards, the characters have their backs to the wall and must seek salvation in the bowels of the earth.
It is no longer about exploring an alien jungle, but descending into the forbidden past of the Ancients. This module transforms the play experience into an intense vertical Dungeon Crawl, where the physical descent corresponds to a descent into madness and truth. Mixing elements of eco-horror and decadent science fantasy, players will be forced to manage increasingly scarce resources while facing moral dilemmas that will forever change the destiny of NEXUM.
