(RPG PDF Spotlight) Carry-On

Carry-On

Core Rulebook by Crab Potion Games

Expressive Card & Dice Gameplay

This book contains everything you need to start playing Carry-On: a tabletop roleplaying and deckbuilding game. Here, your playing card deck and your adventuring backpack are one and the same. Every item you carry is also a card that can be shuffled, drawn, and played. As you explore, you will loot a continuous stream of exciting new cards and face decisions for both deckbuilding and adventuring needs.

While deckbuilding is a highlight of Carry-On, a streamlined RPG system supports it as a foundation. Explore, fight, converse, and more within a set of rules that prioritize fun. One person plays the role of Warden, guiding the story and introducing opposition. About 3-6 other players will control one character each, progressing through a robust and diverse character customization system.

Create a World as you Explore it

All adventures in Carry-On begin the same way: you are trapped in the center of a labyrinth. As you explore the depths of this labyrinth, you will uncover collaborative prompts that will shape your adventure. Some of these prompts will change the course of your story, while others will provide depth to your setting. You are free to focus your efforts on these rich narrative and worldbuilding questions while Carry-On provides an underlying blueprint of game content.

Monsters, encounters, rewards, maps, and more are provided as a framework for your adventure. Play through content that is uniquely interesting while remaining widely applicable to any story you choose to tell. This flexible world grants you both the ease of prepared content and the joy of personalized adventures. Bringing your imagination to life ensures that no two Carry-On adventures will ever end the same way despite their shared origins.

What is included in Carry-On?
