January 1961. 63 miles off the South Coast of New England, the US Air Force RADAR Station Texas Tower 4 stands alone against the elements. Two months ago it faced the brunt of Storm Donna and sustained some suspected structural damage.
Now, a team of civilian engineers is en route to evaluate the damage and make repairs if possible, but what they find out on Texas Tower 4 is more than a few sheared bolts and torn tarpaulin.
