The argillum are a psionic, subterranean civilization of transfigured dwarves who live in protective suits, organize into hierarchical houses, and sustain themselves by consuming psychic energy from dreamwells. Their culture revolves around competition for scarce resources — including the occasional harvest of massive creatures called mhara — tempered by deep reverence for their fallen lord, the Handless, whose relics they treat as sacred objects of honor and legacy.
