PocketQuest 2026 is DriveThruRPG’s 5th annual game jam. All the games must be standalone titles and 25 pages or less (inlcuding cover). This years theme is Time Travel.
The Inn Keeper knows. The Inn Keeper knows the past, knows the present, and knows the future.
Amid the boundless chaos of infinity, the Inn Keeper sees all possibilities. Extending from The Inn Keeper are the threads of time, for the Inn Keeper is the Nexus.
The Inn Keeper’s sanctuary is the Inn.
Within its walls every possibility can be reached through an infinity of doors. Every door has a key, and every key rests in the Inn Keeper’s hand. For reasons known only to him, the rare individual is given an invitation… a key… and a fleeting chance to enter the Inn.
This is your invitation.
A chance to explore the future and change the past. Will you accept the gift? Will you unlock a door? And will their destinies be changed?
The Inn of the Nexus of Time is a complete standalone role-playing game. It’s rule-lite format allows quick mastery of the game. Character generation is simple and quick. Yet, the choices made by the players impact the shape of the adventures, making the story telling collaborative for everyone. Each adventure is played as a series of scenes. Skill questions and combats are easily resolved allowing for fast play. This system allows the game master and players to travel the threads of time, explore the infinite possibilities, and create epic stories. All that is required to play is these rules, paper, pencils, some dice, and your imagination.
In addition to the game rules, this product also contains an introductory adventure called the Infocrats. The Infocrats are tech evangelists pushing for an AI to run the government. In this scenario, the Inn Keeper gives them an opportunity to see the results of their work; but the dystopian future they encounter is only the tip of the problem.
