Time is broken—and you’re holding the last piece that still moves.
In Second Break, you step into the role of a survivor in a collapsing reality where cause and effect no longer align. Armed with a cracked pocket watch and a notebook full of impossible instructions, you’ll rewind moments, rewrite outcomes, and risk unravelling what little remains of the world in a desperate attempt to stop the apocalypse that has already happened.
This is a PocketQuest 2026 solo experience built for introspective play, emergent storytelling, and escalating tension.
What You’ll Do
- Rewind time to undo mistakes—but each reset risks creating dangerous paradoxes
- Explore a shifting world where regions rearrange and reality glitches
- Hunt for fragments of shattered time to piece the timeline back together
- Record your journey in a personal log as the story evolves through your choices
- Face temporal anomalies—creatures born from broken moments that remember you, even when time resets
Core Mechanics
- A standard deck of cards drives narrative prompts and world generation
- 2d6 action rolls determine outcomes: Tick (success), Tock (partial), Break (failure)
- Three flexible approaches to problem-solving:
- Anchor (stability and caution)
- Flow (adaptation and instinct)
- Shift (manipulation and disruption of time)
- A unique rewind system that lets you replay past actions—at the cost of growing instability
