Dagon Warriors 1: Even Death May Die

Core Roleplaying Game by Fabled Lands Publishing

The year is 1928. The jazz is loud, the gin is illegal, and the headlines from Innsmouth are getting harder to ignore.

Something is wrong with the modern world. In the basements of certain New England townhouses, in the half-lit warehouses along the Boston docks, in the research stations of the Antarctic ice and in the libraries of towns along the Miskatonic, older things are stirring. They have always been there. But just lately, they have begun to be noticed – and the people who notice them tend not to live very long.

You and your friends are the people who notice.

Take the part of a Boxer, a steady gun-hand, a private detective with a service revolver and a reputation for getting the job done; or a Brawler, who fights without style or compunction and breaks bones for the cause; or a Psionic, whose mind is wired to perceive things ordinary minds are spared, and who pays a price for every glimpse; or a Scout, the watcher on the rooftop, the picker of locks, the tracker of those who want to stay hidden; or a Scholar, who reads the books most people are afraid to open and constructs the devices the cosmos remembers from an earlier aeon.

As part of a dedicated investigative team, you will track missing persons through the New York winter, root cults out of small Massachusetts towns, descend into half-buried temples in the New Mexico desert, dive to basalt cities sunk beneath the Pacific, and discover what is really happening behind the boarded-up shutters of remote coastal villages.

Some of you will go mad. Some of you will not. Either makes a story worth telling.

Dagon Warriors is a complete role-playing game in a single volume, requiring no other book. Built on the elegant Dragon Warriors engine, retuned for cosmic horror in the 1920s.

Dagon Warriors 1: Even Death May Die is available through DriveThruRPG in PDF.
