The La’s was another band that got played quite a bit in our Sixth Form Common Room. Especially ‘There She Goes’ which took a few years after it was originally released to get in to the UK (and US) charts. I guess we were early adopters and trend setters at our school :p

Anyway, Donna, Tracey, Justin and myself all headed down to Kentish Town to see them live and it was actually a really good line up.

The Trash Can Sinatras were first on and were incredibly good (my favourite band of the evening) and I even brought a cassette of theirs at the show (still got it, although I haven’t listened to it for years now). The main support band was EAT, whose cover of ‘Summer in the City’ is still a favourite track of mine. The La’s themselves were enjoyable, but didn’t quite do what the two support bands did for me. Enjoyable night over all though 🙂
