Attack of the Mushroom People is an OSRIC(tm) module designed for 6-10 adventurers of levels 4-7.

At the last several inns there have been rumors about people exploding. Then again, there’ve been rumors about secret caravans carrying handsome dowries, winged creatures stealing children, ancient evil rising, and ghosts on the road. Typical stuff. But then a woman stumbles into the inn clutching fists full of huge mushrooms. Something oozes from her solid white eyes and her bare feet are massive. A hush falls as the bard stops playing and eyebrows raise.

As everyone watches, she seems to expand. Her voice rises until she screams a crescendo “Xochipill!” and a deafening blast follows, shattering pottery and laying the closest patrons on the floor. Perhaps there’s something true about the rumors of exploding people…
