“Medieval Musings – Hunting” is the first in a series of supplements that will explore different medieval themes and present ways to add them into your game!
As the title suggests, this first supplement is dedicated to medieval hunting.
This product contains:
- a short introduction to medieval hunting, covering the ritual aspect and the following topics: symbolism, usefulness and outcome,
- 1 page about hunting grounds (types, poaching, name generator),
- 1 page describing the structures related to hunting (cabins, hunting lodges), with random tables,
- 7 “hooks” tables (events before/during/after a hunt, reasons to and not to hunt, reasons for being at a hunt, special hunts),
- 2 pages about hart hunting (age, tracks and droppings, hunting horn),
- 1 page explaining boar hunting (symbolism, tracks and droppings, boar spears, famous Arthurian boars),
- 1 page on wolf hunting (reward and tribute, werewolves, tracks and droppings, spiked collar),
- 1 page about other hunting: bear and badger (culture, tracks and droppings),
- 1 page describing the main aspects related to falconry (training, lodging, romance),
- 2 pages providing information about quartering (meat, consumption and preservation, skin, trophies),
- 2 pages focusing on companion dogs (stats, progression, skills, quirks, names),
- 1 page on downtime activities (hunting/poaching, companion dog training, animal trainers),
- 9 illustrations.
It is in A5 format, in black and white, and can easily be printed as a convenient booklet.
