Get Ready For Adventure!
Pulp adventure is a style of storytelling that flourished from the 1920s through the 1940s in the pages of cheap “pulp” magazines printed on rough wood-pulp paper. These stories were fast, colorful, and full of danger, daring explorers, masked heroes, brilliant villains, lost temples, secret cults, and ancient relics hidden in jungles, deserts, and forgotten cities. The heroes of pulp fiction travelled the globe (and sometimes beyond) facing traps, monsters, rival treasure hunters, and sinister organizations. If you think of the globe-trotting adventure of Raiders of the Lost Ark, action of the Rocketeer, or the exotic intrigue of Tales of the Gold Monkey, you already grasp pulp’s key elements of bold heroes, dangerous mysteries, and the thrill of discovery.
Pulp Inc. is a stand-alone core book with everything you’ll need for adventures between the wars.

Pulp Inc. provides six character classes:
Adventure Scholar. Not always about swinging over chasms, but that’s there too. They rely on what they know and what they can do. Maps, books, lore, myth, rumours: that’s their currency and what sets them apart from the rest.
Masked Hero. There’s lots of options here and some of it isn’t just about superheroes. It can be martial artists, that kind of thing.
Mercenary. Again, covering anyone who’s seen some action, whether it was in a military setting, or the streets of the windy city.
Mystic. It’s a kind of magic. There could also be ancient technology, psionic abilities, or good old-fashioned stage magic trickery.
Weird Science. Inventors and rogue scientists. They could be a danger or a boon to humanity. Who decides?
Wild One. Raised by wolves? Brought up in a barn? It’s entirely possible in a pulp adventure.

This is a stand alone game inspired by the Mork Borg and CY_Borg game system by Ockult Örtmästare Games or Stockholm Kartell. While not as dark as the inspirational source material, the system can be unforgiving and reflects the harshness of pulp adventure. The system was mostly chosen for its simplicity and plug and play DIY approach. It’s easy to hack and plays quickly. Things don’t get bogged down and everyone has something unique to do. If you know how to play D&D you can pick up this game and play it right away.
Helpful tables help speed up the process of game prep as well, ensuring a fun time for GMs as well as players. These tables also facilitate solo play if desired.
