Pistolheart Volume 1

A Western Campaign Supplement for Daggerheart by Carlos Cisco

Pistolheart Vol 1 is the first of four Western supplements for Daggerheart, aiming to add a bit more gunsmoke and grit to your Western campaigns. From one of the writers and designers who worked on core Daggerheart, Hope & Fear, The Dying Spire, The Witherwild, Dark Heart of Andaluria, and Colossus of the Drylands comes:

• 5 new gunslinging subclasses for the Guardian, Ranger, Seraph, Rogue, and Warrior
• Optional rules for mounted PCs
• New firearm options, viable for every class.
• Two iconic western environments for GMs to throw at their players. 

Pistolheart is intended to give GMs and players additional tools to help build a full story around or to layer into your existing worlds, such as the Colossus of the Drylands campaign frame from the Daggerheart Core Set.

The Gunslingers:

• The Breacher guardian leads the charge, safety be damned.
• The Longbarrel ranger prefers to keep their distance, striking foes before they know what hit them.
• The Marshal seraph empowers themselves and their posse to bring law and order to wild lands.
• The Outlaw rogue is always on the move, one step ahead of their foes.
• The Call of the Pistolero warrior lives by the gun, and their enemies die by it.

The Environments:

• The Rifle Canyon Run slams the PCs into a race to escape a canyon beset by rifle fire from high above.
• The Mounted Train Chase has the PCs pursuing a train on horseback, while the outlaws aboard do everything in their power to get away.

The release plan is modular. Volume 2 is in testing and is planned for a Q1-2026 release. It will contain the remaining subclasses (Snakeoil Bard, Warden of Herds Druid, Gravewalker Origin Sorcerer, and the School of Gambling Wizard), 20 western adversaries across all 4 tiers, and optional rules for uncovering and investigating rumors.

Volume 3 will further build support and scaffolding for Western Campaigns with fully fleshed out locations, landmarks, settlements, factions, NPCs, and extra equipment.

Volume 4 will culminate in a new Western campaign frame that features and highlights everything created previously, adding rules for a point crawl experience.
