Whispers of the Bayou, A Southern Gothic D&D 5e Adventure
by Laurie
The swamp remembers every sin—and it’s calling your name.
Moss hangs heavy. The air hums with unseen wings.
And somewhere between the river and the grave, something ancient stirs.

Welcome to Gravewater Parish, a haunted frontier where the living trade prayers for safety and the dead refuse to sleep. Here, every home has a shrine, every child knows a song to keep the shadows back, and every bargain has a price.
When the players arrive, they find the townsfolk clinging to false miracles and a faith built on bones.
The swamp’s loa — the spirits of storm, decay, and memory — are awakening. And the old order is breaking.
A Campaign of Faith and Folklore
Whispers of the Bayou is a three-act D&D 5e campaign (levels 3–10) rooted in Southern Gothic horror and Low Country voodoo. It’s not a story of good versus evil, but of the debts between the living and the dead — and the cost of keeping balance.

You’ll explore drowned parishes, haunted plantations, and spirit crossroads where no road is the same twice.
Your choices will decide whether to rebind the loa or set them free, reshaping the Low Country forever.
