Mothership Month is a celebration of the horror scri-fi Mothership RPG that launches on October 14 on Backerkit. This annual celebration sees 2025 with even more creators, nightmares, and community events. Whether you’re an old teamster or a fresh recruit, you’re invited to the largest Mothership event of the year.
This year’s theme—The Dream Returns—calls back to the award-winning module, A Pound of Flesh, and its setting on Prospero’s Dream, the overcrowded space station where ambition and desperation collide. In 2025, that dream resurfaces with Tuesday Knight Games opening up the setting for all third party publishers to utilize in their creations. That’s right, every module this year will be connected to A Pound of Flesh, and the Dream. The best campaign-hub in sci-fi is about to get even better.
And if you already blew up the Dream in your home campaign, stay tuned, because we’ve got some special books in store just for you.
There are 27 campaigns running on Backerkit as part of Mothership Month and, due to the volume, I have split the coverage of them across two posts. This is part 1…

Prospero’s Dream by Tuesday Knight Games
PROSPERO’S DREAM is the new campaign setting for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG. It expands and augments the content in the award-winning module, A Pound of Flesh. The boxed set contains three zines, warden’s tools, and so much more.

FLATLINE ON THE BLOCKS: A dicey district for Mothership RPG by Spinal Crux Warriors
Eighteen Mothership veterans tear open the Spinal Crux District, a 52pg zine detailing the EYE and its twenty Blocks on Prospero’s Dream.
Flatline on the Blocks is a new setting module of crammed city blocks, scheming factions, and ticking doom set aboard the megacity X-class space station Prospero’s Dream, for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG. This zine contains cascading criminal conspiracies building up from small events to massive, district-wide catastrophes that affect the entire playground of the Spinal Crux District. Inspired by squalid city life in Final Fantasy VII’s Midgar and Judge Dredd’s Mega-City One with the colorful madness of Joel Schumacher’s Gotham City and a dystopian F-Zero, this district has the heart and hooks to keep pulling your crew back in.

HUNTERS: a death-game module for Mothership RPG by Green Beetle Games
A death-game module with a tight time limit and high stakes. Set in the ruined and plague-warped city of The Sink, the wealthy and powerful Hunters come to play a game where the rules are rigged and losing means death.
Wealthy beyond measure, the Hunters come to Prospero’s Dream from all over the Galaxy. Corporate scions, rim-world despots, and trigger-happy gangsters. In the ruined downtown core of The Sink, they’re here for the kind of game you can’t play anywhere else. Where they get to kill or be killed. To pretend for a day that they are just like the rest of us…

ROACH MOTEL: A 32-page labrinth for Mothership RPG by Norgad
Turning back leads somewhere new. The gun in your hands is missing. The ringing grows louder.
ROACH MOTEL is a new module for Mothership RPG in which players stumble into a mothballed R&D facility with seemingly no exit. They’ll need to figure out why the layout seems to shift and change, and what’s causing their rapidly deteriorating cognisance — without having one-too-many violent encounters with the desperate others that are trapped alongside them.
The module is a 32 page, saddle stapled half-letter booklet — printed in a striking black, white, and pink–orange palette. It’s suitable for a 2–4 session short-shot, or to be slotted into your wider campaign aboard Prospero’s Dream.

Terminal Directive – A Murder Mystery for Mothership RPG by Burning Light Press
A time-looping murder mystery set in a sandbox sector of The Dream. Can you solve a murder before it happens, or will time tear you to pieces?
Terminal Directive is a 36-page murder mystery set in a sandbox sector of Prospero’s Dream, a race against the clock to solve a murder before it occurs.
Each day a chaotic search for clues before everything resets. A cascading and faulty time-loop where if too long is taken, horrifying glitches in reality begin to occur.
Terminal Directive takes place in a standalone sector within Prospero’s Dream, linking loosely to a number of standing organizations and characters that reside within the towering space station.
The module contains numerous ways for an inquisitive party to “solve” the murder, alongside the dilemma of personal gain vs risking the more devastating and permanent effects of the time-loop’s breakdown.

GRIM MERCHANTS: A Suite of Vendors for Mothership RPG by Joshua Kramer
Four new cutthroat businesses to populate Prospero’s Dream. Sell your soul, lose your mind, spend your cash and dive back in.
Grim Merchants is a campaign supplement for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG, co-written by Joshua Kramer and Michael Kramer, introducing four shady new vendors to the notoriously lawless city-station of Prospero’s Dream. Each one will offer exciting and dangerous new wares alongside a host of novel role-play opportunities!

CERTAIN FATHOMS: A Depth-Crawl Module for Mothership RPG by Grinning Rat Publications
Explore Welkin Campus—a shifting, sprawling, drowned facility of rogue machines, failed clones, and paracausal tech—in this Mothership-compatible depth-crawl module.
Certain Fathoms is a 50+ page sci-fi horror module for Mothership, plunging players into the sludge-choked ruins of Welkin Campus—a long-forgotten AI research complex buried beneath Prospero’s Dream. Guided by Miranda, a rogue AI trapped in synthetic flesh, crews descend via the Black Elevator into a shifting labyrinth of experimental tech, corporate secrets, and unstable anomalies.
The Black Elevator is the only way in—or out. Each time the crew uses it, the elevator brings them to a new, randomized floor deep within the campus. No map, no control—unless they’ve recovered a keycode to a specific level. The deeper they go, the weirder and more dangerous things get. Anomalies distort reality. Breaches escalate the threat. Returning to the surface means backtracking through what they’ve discovered so far—and encountering who or what has discovered the crew.

DRINK FROM THE HIPPOCRENE: a corrupt cult for Mothership RPG by And Tomorror Games
Malvolio: a new, luxury gated district on Prospero’s Dream, its people slowly being corrupted by power of The Hippocrene… drink and you shall have what you most desire—but at what cost?
Welcome to Malvolio.
There’s a new gated zone on the Dream. The Malvolio District is a superficially dazzling S-Class enclave: rich tourists revel in luxury, before stepping out on ‘guided safaris’ through the Dream’s most insalubrious quarters—for thrills, adventure and… worse.
Yet behind this gilded facade lies a district half-empty: rotting warehouses are cordoned off and hidden from view, marked for redevelopments that might never happen. Malvolio is full of grand designs, but already buckling under the weight of its own exorbitant upkeep.
And something vile and otherworldly festers and grows here. A graffitied chalice marked upon service tunnels; strange choral chants murmur through venting; hotel staff overhear guests whispering of The Hippocrene—a mythical liquid said to grant the drinker their ultimate desires.

PROSPERO PROTOCOLS: A psychic parasite for Mothership RPG by Waco Matrixo
Three locations on Prospero’s Dream, each available as a standalone Mothership module: a railgun hidden in an observatory, a zombie-infested luxury resort and a slickworld corrupted by Eldritch horrors. New rules to play with psychic powers.
Prospero Protocols is a collection of three locations based on the space station, Prospero’s Dream from the Mothership book A Pound of Flesh. Each location can be run as a standalone one-shot.
Explore a cynical resort for the elite that’s overrun with zombies, discover a secret weapons lab hidden under a giant railgun and solve the mystery of the missing CEO by entering a Lovecraftian slickworld. Also included are supplementary rules for playing as psychic-powered test subjects, drawing inspiration from sci-fi classics such as Akira.

NO GODS, NO MASTERS – A Height-crawl for Mothership RPG by There!Wolf Games
A suicide-run heightcrawl for the Mothership sci-fi horror TTRPG. 18 floors to sneak, hide, and fight through in order to confront the true terror at the top – the corporate C-suite.
No Gods, No Masters is an anti-corporate height-crawl, a suicide-run on a megabuilding at the heart of Prospero’s Dream.
METAStatic, Inc., has spread their capitalist tendrils into every colonized solar system, and a number of those not yet colonized, and currently has their sights set on the Dream. The players will take it upon themselves to burn this cancer out — or die trying. The adventure is a propulsive take on the depthcrawl, designed to pressure players to move as quickly as they can up the tower in order to confront the C-Suite at its peak.

RITES OF RENEWAL: neo-pagan folk horror for Mothership RPG by Peregrine Coast Press
In the verdant and tightly-wound habblock known as the Grove, where each alley and every inhabitant is home to old traditions, the Antecedent Solarian Fellowship prepares for the three-day Solstice festival.
Rites of Renewal is a neo-pagan folk horror sandbox adventure for Mothership RPG, where ancient traditions live again in the bowels of a haphazard, overcrowded space station. In the verdant and tightly-wound habblock known as the Grove, the Antecedent Solarian Community prepares for the three-day Solstice festival.
The strange rituals of the insular agrarian commune syncretizes the rural pagan traditions of The Wicker Man (1973) and the urban decay of Candyman (1992).
This module is a short pressure-cooker campaign spanning the three days of the Festival. Each new day brings a new Rite of Renewal, and downtime activities to enjoy. And each new night brings another bloody Rite of the Horned God, carried out in secret across the Grove.
Experience what the Grove has to offer, either as a mistrusted Outsider, or a Grover, with special connections to the people and place. Each option has 5 Job Hooks to quickly get your Crew immersed in the festive chaos, and on the trail of the Grove’s mysteries.
