Shadowdark Adventure by Runeforged Tabletop Gaming
Wicked Witch of the Woods is a 1st level, one-shot adventure for Shadowdark RPG that accomodates 1-6 players (plus a GM). It is inspired by dark fairy tale stories like Hansel & Gretel, and would be perfect to run this Halloween!
- Designed to be accessible for new players (especially those coming from 5e) without sacrificing what makes Shadowdark such a wonderful game.
- Can be finished in a single 2-4 hour session.
- Comes with maps for each of the relevant locations, including variations for B&W vs. Color and GM-facing vs. Player-facing.
- Also includes 6 pre-generated level 1 characters with optional quirks, flaws, and backstories, letting you jump right into the adventure.
Here’s the premise for Wicked Witch of the Woods (spoilers):
Earlier today, a young boy disappeared from the village of Waldheim, lured into the woods by visions of wonderful toys and delicious sweet treats. Now the boy is trapped in the forest cottage of Auntie Rue, a wicked witch who feeds on the tears of terrified children.
With the witch away gathering ingredients for her sinister Nightmare Elixirs, a brief window opens for rescue – if our brave adventurers can navigate the witch’s many dangerous tricks, traps, and minions!
