RUSTIC FANTASY

Legend In The Mist is inspired by works of fiction about everyday heroes from rural communities that embark on a journey such as The Lord Of The Rings, Princess Mononoke, Wheel of Time, and even The Wind In The Willows.

• Unlikely heroes: Start off in your village or remote region and contend with everyday problems, just before a darker danger looms.
  
• Journeys in the countryside and wilderness: scout, explore, traverse landscapes dark or beautiful, discover ruins, or find forgotten landmarks.
  
• Camping and fellowship: Set camp, train, craft items and brew potions, and build relationships with your fellow travelers.
  
• Dangerous encounters: Face unscrupulous travelers and strange creatures, and learn about their sorcerous ways and weaknesses.
  
• Ancient lore, crafty factions: Discover the great world beyond, the powers that be, and the dark past that started it all.
  
• More than just battles: Overcome challenges through battle, magic, wits, physical feats, charm, cunning – or love, gossip, or great cooking – anything is possible.
  
• Carve your fate: Make hard choices that will shape you. Will you become the hero to save the realm, or just a traveler passing by? The choice is yours.

Uniquely, Legend In The Mist is played using only tags and two dice (2d6), with no stats, calculations, or complex rules to memorize, making it perfect for players who love story in their games, and for newcomers to the hobby.

Volume I – the Hero (240p):

• The Tutorial: a 50-page comic book adventure that teaches you the basics of the game.
  
• Chapter #1: Hero & Fellowship Creation is packed with 30 ready-to-play character Tropes and +150 Theme Kits as well as 20 customizable Themebooks.
  
• Chapter #2: How To Play explains the rules of the game, how to take actions and overcome Challenges, as well as how to evolve your Hero.
  
• Chapter #3: The Secret of Magic explains how to portray magic in the game with 8 detailed Ways of Magic.

Volume II – the Narrator (256p):

• Chapter #4: The Narrator’s Role is a detailed guide on how to run a game, how to design adventures and series, and how to create your own Ways of Magic.
