Last Letter From Hinata Matsumoto To Her Father
Dad, now I just want to sleep. I know I will bring you great pain, and for that, I am infinitely sorry. I love you, and I am grateful for everything you have done for me. I am young, but I understand many things, and you know that too. One of these things, dear Dad, is that I will never be the same again. I don’t want to live anymore. The monster who violated me will probably be in prison, and in a few years, he will be free again, his conscience unburdened by the evil he has done. But I will never again be the same girl I once was.

Please, don’t be sad, Dad, I beg you. Promise me that you will continue helping people through your work and that you will try to be happy. The world needs you. I, on the other hand, only need to sleep. I will wake up in a place of peace, and I will join Mom, with whom I will wait for you. But don’t rush, my beloved Daddy, you still have so much to do.

I love you, forever.

Your Hinata

[ To The Neurodrive Project Staff ]
Thank you all for your messages of support; I truly appreciate it. Now, more than ever, I need your help. Immediately arrange for my daughter’s transfer to the Facility, away from the other connected subjects. Assign Miss Haruka to her, and do whatever is necessary. I will arrive at the Facility within the next 24 hours, after which we will officially launch the Neurodrive Project.

Welcome to Neurodrive Origins, a TTRPG based on the TRUE-d6 system. Players will take on the roles of individuals who, for one reason or another, find themselves in a coma. The brilliant scientist and neurologist Yuji Matsumoto has developed the Neurodrive, a device capable of projecting all of a person’s senses into a virtual environment. The goal of his project is to allow comatose patients to lead a pleasant, albeit virtual, life – keeping their neurological functions active and enabling them to learn new things.

In this ideal world, everything seems beautiful… but what if there were other reasons behind its creation?

To play Neurodrive Origins, you need the digital or printed manual and a 1d6.

The digital version also includes printable files for the character sheet and five pre-generated characters featured on the cover.

The TRUE-d6 System is a TTRPG ruleset that originated as a fantasy system and has since taken form in a zombie apocalypse setting (Craving), a fantastical feudal Japan (Kogarashi), and will see further interpretations in the near future. I invite you to read the feedback on the system in the comments left on DriveThruRPG, referring to the very first ASCII version and the first printable release.

Neurodrive Origins differs from TRUE-d6 primarily in its setting and skill system. Skills are organized in a grid, where the four classes serve as starting points. From the chosen class, as the character acquires new skills, they can select those connected to a box they already possess, exploring the grid in any direction they prefer.

Is it better to stay within the quadrant containing the skills of the chosen class, or is it worth aiming for skills that increase the avatar’s versatility?

Plan your build and create a unique character!

Neurodrive Origins is available through DriveThruRPG in Print and PDF.
