Entirely Too Many Gnomes (5e)

Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Adventure by Frog God Games

The adventure, Entirely Too Many Gnomes, centers around the town of Danby-upon-Dhee, which is hosting an annual conference for the Merry Association of Gnomish Pranksters, Illusionists, and Entertainers (MAGPIE). The typically reserved townsfolk are overwhelmed by the chaos of pranks and comic mishaps brought on by the gnomes. As security for the event, the characters are tasked with maintaining order amid the pandemonium.

The backstory reveals that Emiliano Falintino, a disgraced illusionist, seeks revenge on his rival, Kannah Kloot, by orchestrating a chaotic conference in Danby. The local baron, Strom Talbott, is also involved, having taken Kloot into his home as his artist in residence. As tensions rise, a gang of locals plots against the gnomes, leading the characters to uncover Falintino’s sinister motives and prevent a massacre.

The adventure includes a variety of encounters, from dealing with pranksters to addressing the grievances of townsfolk. It also features a detailed description of Danby-upon-Dhee, its inhabitants, and notable locations such as the Coal Tower and the fairgrounds.

As the story unfolds, characters must navigate the growing conflict between the gnomes and the angry villagers, ultimately leading to a climactic confrontation involving a robbery, a murder, and a dramatic closing ceremony where the characters must thwart Falintino’s plan to destroy Kloot and his stolen paintings in front of an audience.

The adventure is designed for 4–6 Tier I (levels 3–5) Fifth Edition characters and emphasizes diplomacy, problem-solving, and the consequences of their actions on various factions within the town.
