Following an uprising by malevolent artificial intelligences, a coalition of military leaders, engineers, and scientists formed the Reclamation Initiative. Dedicated to taking back the world from humanity, they produced the first Androids, thinking and feeling machines capable of combating the rampaging mechanical armies and learning from their experiences. After fifty years of conflict, the Initiative’s struggle is finally starting to turn in its favor. But as more ghosts from the old world begin to influence the direction of the one struggling to be born, the Androids of the Initiative must contend with their own humanity and find a way to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past to build a better future for all, not just mankind.
Undoing Ruin is a tabletop role-playing game with a stand-alone 2d6 rules system. This book contains:
- All the materials needed to create Android player characters, with a character generation system that emphasizes customization and experimentation
- Character sheets for player characters and cards for managing their equipment and abilities
- A simple but robust gameplay system that keeps numbers and math to a minimum and allows players to bend the rules of the game to have their “rule of cool” moments.
- An extensive list of NPCs, both antagonistic and otherwise, for use in gameplay, as well as the rules for game runners to design their own.
- A primer on the world of Undoing Ruin, for game runners to pull from or change details of as they see fit.
