Suffer, Not a Witch

A 1692 Salem Witchcraft Scenario in Puritan New England for Call of Cthulhu by Josephn B. Vadella & Timothy Dempsey / Miskatonic Repository / Chaosium

Rites and paranoia have overtaken Salem.

It is July of 1692, and reports of a mass witch hunt in Salem have reached Boston. The Investigators arrive to find a town in the grip of hysteria. The reports speak of supernatural events leading to witch accusations, convictions, and punishment by hanging.

Behind Salem’s hysteria lurks a sinister truth: a coven serving Shub-Niggurath (Shol-Nurg-At) uses genuine magic to orchestrate false witch accusations, using the hangings as sacrifices as a grand ritual to summon a Dark Young.
