Nochet: The Great Library presents the complete temple library of 7 floors (including 2 deep underground) with extended descriptions of many of 14 of its leading Sages (priests of Lhankor Mhy, God of Knowledge) for RuneQuest. Whether coming for worship, research, or knowledge, seeking the aid of scholars, or even attempting to gain hidden treasures, the Great Library is central to life in the city and its Sages can serve as mentors, patrons, sponsors of expeditions, allies, rivals, or villains in any campaign.
The work includes: an overview of the Great Library, detailed maps and descriptions of locations for all floors, Daily Life, Favored Places, Sandbox Sessions, Encounters, Rumors, Legends, new Sorcery spells, spirits and demons, and many details on the library’s extensive collections. It is designed to expand options for your urban Gloranthan adventures as previously described in the companion work, Nochet: Queen of Cities.
Also included is content on: the Lore and Catalog of Gloranthan Gems, Famous Texts of the Library, new Notes From Nochet, and additional details to provide adventure hooks and sources of rumors and investigations.
Nochet: The Great Library includes a complete RuneQuest scenario, “The Terror Out of Time”, in which young initiates confront an unexpected and ancient foe. 8 pregenerated characters accompany the scenario, though players can also use their own. The pregenerated characters can also be used as encounters in any Nochet-based campaign.
Written for RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha, Nochet: The Great Library can be used with 13G or other Gloranthan games.
Nochet: The Great Library comes with a full set of map files for all 7 floors (labeled and unlabeled versions) plus two adjacent external buildings and diagrams to facilitate play and use.
