RPG Rulebook by The Basic Expert
Atomic Punk 2240 is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game set in an alternate future where, in the 1990s, the nuclear holocaust occurred. The wasteland is full of gangs, raiders, mutants, power-hungry factions, and the player characters themselves, who may or may not be any number of these types.

The System
Atomic Punk 2240 is a 2d10 system where, generally, there is a target number of 11. All rolls are modified by difficulty modifiers, weapon and armor match-ups (references on a weapon vs armor table), and other factors.

Atomic Punk 2240 has the following classes for players to choose from. They all play on tropes of the genre.
The Bastard – Bastards are known for their ruthlessness and cunning. They navigate the wastelands with a “survival of the fittest” mentality, willing to do whatever it takes to secure their place and their earnings. They’re skilled in stealth, thievery, and exploiting opportunities, often resorting to backstabbing and picking pockets to get ahead.
Brawler – In every bar and tavern, there is always this guy. He might drink a bit much, but it only makes his fists feel more like lead weights when they collide with the face. His own head feels like striking brick wall. Best to ignore these types.
Caravaneer – Caravaneers are the economic lifeblood of the wasteland. Without them, goods would not get from settlement to settlement. The bastards always seem to charge too much, though, and you walk away thinking that you got a deal, all the while that caravaneer is smirkin’.
Demolitions Expert – Need something blown up? Need to blast a bunker door open? Need to move a mountain out of the way? Need to eliminate Lyle and make it look like too much methane built up in the outhouse? You need a demolitions expert.
Doctor – Doctors can do all kinds of things: reconstructing your face after taking a bullet, removing radiation, curing diseases, and healing wounds. It’s a shame that they also charge so many pop caps for their services.
Gunslinger – If you see a man walking into town with two pistols on his hips and murder in his eyes, watch out. Pray you are not the one he has come to murder. He will draw faster than you, and his aim will be true.
Survivalist – There are those who distill their own urine and live off giant mole rat meat. They are hardy and strong sons of guns, though. Country boys survive.
Wasteland Mystic – There are mutants who wander the wastes. Some use their powers to trick or convince people into believing in some newfangled religion. They’re cultists more than anything else. Some of them really do have powers, but they claim that it is all divinely ordained. They wander, they preach, and no doubt, some of them con others too. Some, however, seem sincere.
Wasteland Warrior – Some are raiders. Some are mercs. Some are settlement heroes. All of them are good at killing things.
Flavorful Equipment

Atomic Punk 2240 has fully illustrated weapons and armor that fit a wasteland environment. Weapons and armor and how they match up affect the chances a character has in striking and causing damage to an opponent. There is no “armor class.” Some weapons work better against armor, and some armors have different weaknesses to various types of armor.
Other Rules
Atomic Punk 2240 has rules for random encounters, terrain generation, settlement generation, settlement construction, vehicle combat, loot tables, wasteland monster generation, and much more! On top of this, a basic setting of the Treasure Valley of Idaho is offered, as well as a license to allow you to make content for Atomic Punk 2240 or build off the game system itself!
