My third time seeing Sparrowman in the summer of 1997. This time they were playing the Powerhaus in Finsbury Park. We also got there early enough to see the support band of the night, SUS 4.

I wasn’t all that keen on SUS 4, but can’t remember anything about them apart from the listing on my gig list. I know they aren’t the same band as the other SUS 4’s I’ve found online (one was a Japanese or Korean band in the early 90’s and another is a band that was formed in 2022 – so neither fit the bill for this gig).

Sparrowman were still very good the third time round in a matter of months. I believe this was my penultimate Sparrowman gig. Not sure why I didn’t see Gunther and co live again after that. Possibly split-up, possibly played on nights I couldn’t make it? Not sure. Very pleased I managed to see (and support) them on the occasions I did though.
