GIG 336: Die Krupps – The Garage, 21st June 1997

I arrived late for this, due to being at a Camarilla meeting earlier in the evening, but made it in time before Die Krupps took to the stage. I’d seen Die Krupps three times before – but the last time had been back in 1995 when they were touring in support of their sixth album, “III – Odyssey of the Mind”. Roll on two years and they had a new album out, “Paradise Now”, and were back on the road.

The new album had a cover version of Arthur Brown’s classic 1968 song “Fire” on it, featuring Arthur Brown himself, which was a bit of an oddity for Die Krupps. The song had gotten them quite a bit of airplay on music tv channels though which was good to see.

Anyway, the gig was a cracker and Die Krupps were fantastic.
