GIG 333: The Sisters of Mercy / Cubanate / The Overseer – Brixton Academy, 10th June 1997

Night Two of The Sisters of Mercy at Brixton Academy. Slightly different mix of friends at this one – and a different coloured ticket – but apart from that everything else was pretty much the same as the previous evening.

I missed The Overseers altogether this time round, and Cubanate were even more disjointed and poor than they had been on the Monday. I’ve no idea why they didn’t manage to click here given how good they’d been in the past.

The Sisters of Mercy, who had been great the first night, were if anything even better this evening. Both nights were fantastic, but this one just edged it for some reason. Nothing to do with the set as it was a carbon copy of the first nights set list. Which obviously saves me a bit of time now as I can just cut and paste it from yesterdays entry ;p
