US band Pist*On were the live band at Feet First at Camden Palace on this evening. They were a gothic metal band in a similar vein to Type O Negative (who were friends of the bands), although never reached the same heights at their Brooklyn neighbours did. Pist*On were touring to support their first album, “Number One”, and would return to the UK a month later supporting Marilyn Manson – although I missed their set at that gig. But I did catch this one.

It seems I wasn’t overly impressed but am not sure why. Listening to the YouTube video I posted below it’s certainly a song and sound I enjoy, and would have enjoyed back in 1997. But for whatever reason I seem to have felt that this evenings gig was a bit flat. Not bad, just in one ear out the other mediocre. A shame as I’d like to transport myself back in time and give them another listen – and catch them in their support slot the following month.
