Hi everyone, sorry I’ve not updated for a while. I had a cold in early August which got progressively worse. I ended up having the 11th August off work as I woke up and was completely breathless by the time I’d dressed. On the 12th my breathing was even worse. I thought I might have had Covid but was testing negative.
One of my housemates ended up calling 111 for me in the evening when she got home and the ambulance came out – looked at me – and rushed me straight in to hospital where I ended up staying for most of the next week.
Turns out that the ‘cold’ I thought I had was actually severe pneumonia in both lungs with the added extra of the early stages of sepsis. So incredibly good that I went into hospital when I did.
I spent the next few days being flushed with antibiotics and on oxygen, which thankfully helped bring things under control.
I’ve been convalescing at home since my discharge and have been getting better. To the extent that I’ve managed to do a couple of days work a week for the last couple of weeks. I am still having coughing fits, although a lot less in frequency and violence, and am still getting tired much quicker than usual… to the extent that it’s lucky for me to still be up beyond 9pm the last few weeks!
The last actual post I did here was my RPGaDAY post on the 10th August… although I hope to complete this years RPGaDAY in the coming weeks… better late than never! The poetry post from the 16th had been queued up in advance but I’ll be starting my Wednesday poetry posts again shortly too.
Not sure what I’m going to do with the Top 100 DriveThruRPG PDFs Sales charts as I don;t have the data for the last few weeks as I’ve not been online and cataloguing it. That throws my ‘weeks in chart’ out of skew and I’m tempted to leave the chart and restart it in the new year – maybe reverting back to my PDF Spotlighst instead, looking at a selection of the weeks new releases that catch my eye, If anyone has any particular thoughts/preferences please let me know.
Anyway, this is just a quick(ish) post to say sorry for not posting for over a month and let you know why.
I’ll be back shortly and get this blog rebooted and back in to gear again 🙂
Take care and stay safe!
Angus
